Cost: By dana - the Joy of Mindful Generosity
In the Buddhist tradition, dana means giving freely with a generous and open heart. It is not about obligation but about appreciating the value of what we receive and sharing what we can to support others. Through mindful giving, you are not just paying—you’re fostering gratitude, care, and connection.
When offering for a class, consider:
• Value: Reflect on the effort and care behind the experience.
• Generosity: Give an amount that feels meaningful and aligned with your circumstances.
• Connection: Know your contribution supports your teacher’s livelihood, a community of learning and growth and the venue in which it occurs.
How to offer dana: Cash or direct transfer payments accepted: (There is a bowl at the entrance of the class, and it is customary to offer your dana at the beginning of the class. It is not considered good etiquette to make change in the bowl. Mindful generosity includes contemplating and organizing yourself before arriving at class). For direct transfer please use your name as the reference and send an email to Sara sara@yogamoves.net.au
